Job description
An Insight Global client is currently looking for a GIS Analyst to join their team. The GIS analyst responsible for ongoing operations of the Geographic Information System (GIS) program to a high standard of quality and collaborate with team members of the GIS team on the scope and schedule of projects, customer satisfaction, and productivity.
These responsibilities include developing automated processes and web mapping applications, creating specialized data sets, reports, maps, graphics, and other requested materials by analyzing data using GIS.
Provide expertise to plan, coordinate, and execute geospatial data collection and processing in support of research and operational applications.
Leads the application of geospatial technologies in the Oil and Gas sector, addressing tasks such as change detection and monitoring. Utilizes data mining and feature extraction technologies, along with accuracy assessment procedures, to enhance the precision of geospatial analysis and modeling. Identifies and applies innovative approaches to geospatial analysis specific to Oil and Gas operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of GIS experience
- 3+ years of experience with ESRI software
- 2+ years of experience using ArcGIS Pro
- 2+ years of experience working with ArcGIS Enterprise
- Experience with Microsoft suite
- General knowledge of cartographic skills
- Oil and gas Industry experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Python experience
- AI experience - streamline GIS workflows
