Job description
The SR E-Comm Front End-Engineer is responsible for working on new technology implementations, new features and functionality, user interface and user experience (UI/UX) enhancements. This position is also responsible for the maintenance and support of the e-commerce and omnichannel platforms and applications in support of At Home's fast-growing e-commerce business., * Collaborate with business, technology, and UX teams to design, build, and optimize websites, mobile apps, and digital platforms.
- Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performing user experiences, ensuring compliance with ADA, Title III, and industry standards.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented code while participating in agile development across front-end, back-end, QA, and product management.
- Analyze and improve site performance, speed, stability, and scalability.
- Design and implement e-commerce solutions integrating order management systems (OMS), customer relationship management (CRM), customer database planning (CDP), inventory systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe).
- Support and enhance e-commerce operations, including BOPIS, local delivery, and ship-from-store capabilities.
- Take an active role in promoting best practices and training others within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; or 5+ years of relevant experience in retail/e-commerce development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Node.js, React.js, and React Native; with experience in object-oriented programming and responsive web design.
- Proven track record developing and maintaining e-commerce websites and applications using platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, Hybris, BigCommerce, or Shopify.
- Experience with web services and integrations (REST, SOAP, GraphQL), payment gateways, tax software, site search & site engine optimization (SEO), and merchandising operations.
- Skilled in Agile/SDLC tools such as JIRA and Confluence; proficient in source code management (Git, GitFlow, BitBucket).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively on cross-functional, multi-site teams in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Work Schedule: Hybrid
- Onsite: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
- Work from Home: Mondays and Fridays, Home Office
- Must be able to remain stationary at a desktop workspace for extended periods of time.
- Ability to move about an office environment.
