Job description

  • Design and own test strategy across UI, API, and backend layers, ensuring comprehensive coverage aligned to business requirements.
  • Build and maintain automated UI test suites using Playwright or equivalent modern frameworks.
  • Develop and execute API test scenarios using JMeter, Postman, or similar tools, covering functional, performance, and regression use cases.
  • Author and run backend and ETL validation scripts using Python or other scripting languages to verify data integrity and pipeline accuracy.
  • Produce and present clear test status reports, risk assessments, and escalation recommendations to project stakeholders.
  • Plan and forecast QE capacity, test cycles, and delivery timelines in collaboration with project managers and scrum teams.
  • Proactively identify quality risks early in the delivery lifecycle and drive mitigation actions with engineering and product teams.

Requirements

We are looking for a hands-on Quality Engineering Lead to drive end-to-end test strategy and execution across front-end, API, and data layers within our Wealth Management technology platform. The ideal candidate is a self-directed individual contributor who combines deep technical testing expertise with strong communication skills and the ability to navigate complex, fast-moving delivery environments., * Front-End Automation: Proven experience building and maintaining UI automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent tools.

  • API Testing: Hands-on experience with JMeter, Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools for functional and performance API testing.
  • Backend / ETL Testing: Ability to write test and validation scripts in Python or other scripting languages to verify data pipelines, transformations, and backend services.
  • Wealth Management Domain: Working knowledge of wealth management products and processes (account opening, portfolio management, advisory workflows); experience at a top-tier bank or financial institution preferred.
  • Communication & Reporting: Ability to synthesize complex test results into concise executive-level status updates, clearly articulating risks and recommended escalation paths.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to operate effectively under pressure and respond decisively to shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Work Planning: Strong organizational skills with experience forecasting test effort, managing capacity, and delivering against defined milestones.
  • Work Style: Comfortable and effective as an individual contributor; able to own and drive outcomes independently without requiring a large team., * Experience testing CRM or account onboarding platforms (e.g., D365, Salesforce FSC) in a wealth or private banking context.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into DevOps workflows (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent quality engineering credential.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery and working within cross-functional squads.
