Job description
A hospitality company in Colorado is looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their growing team. We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust backend services supporting either their Commerce stack and Mobile Applications. The role focuses on building scalable microservices architecture in Azure cloud, implementing complex payment processing systems, and modernizing our event-driven architecture. Key Responsibilities Design and develop high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET Core Architect and implement complex distributed systems using Azure cloud services Support the migration from Docker to Kubernetes/AKS containerization Develop and optimize event-driven architectures using Azure Service Bus Implement secure payment processing capabilities within our mobile applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features Participate in code reviews and maintain
Requirements
7+ years of software engineering experience with focus on backend development
Expert-level proficiency in C# and .NET Core
Deep understanding of microservices architecture patterns
Experience with event-driven architectures and message queuing systems
Strong experience with Azure cloud services, including: AKS, Service Bus, APIM, Monitor, App Insights, etc
Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Collaborative and Strategic mindset

This position is a 6-month contract, likely to extend or possibly convert. The hourly rate for the position is $65-70. Medical, dental and vision are offered on your 1st day, and a 401K program on your 91st day. To be eligible for conversion, you must sit in one of these states: California, Colorado (3 days onsite if converted), Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah, Vermont, Washington State, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
