Job description

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to provide temporary support for IT operations. In this role, you will assist employees with technical issues, maintain hardware and software systems, and help ensure a reliable and secure technology environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative workplace.

This is a 12+ week contract position providing interim support and requires onsite attendance five days per week in Bloomington, MN. This position will pay between $28-34/hr., * Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

  • Assist with the maintenance of Windows servers, workstations, and user accounts.
  • Perform routine system updates, backups, and security checks.
  • Set up, configure, and deploy new computers, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity and network performance issues.
  • Document IT procedures and maintain accurate hardware and software inventories.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative approach to teamwork., * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a similar role, including internships.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 applications is preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting users of design applications such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite.
