Job description

  • Participate in technical discussions and architecture design, presenting ideas through whiteboarding and design reviews
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Design and develop scalable backend components and microservices
  • Ensure code quality through best practices, unit testing, and automation
  • Define interfaces and communication between system components

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our Middle Office Core Platform team in Menlo Park, CA. This role focuses on driving product development and modernization initiatives by building scalable, high-performance systems that deliver strong business outcomes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with deep expertise in backend technologies, microservices architecture, and cloud-native development., Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related STEM field

7+ years of professional software engineering experience

Technical QualificationsStrong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and coding principlesHands-on experience in microservices architecture and development, Databases such as Oracle MySQL, Sybase, PostgreSQL etc.7 years or more experience in Java(Spring Framework) and or GoPreferred experience in Python scriptingPreferred experience in ServiceMesh, Containers and Kubernetes technologiesPreferred hands-on experience in building cloud-based software leveraging cloud and open source technology and frameworksExperience in building scalable and highly available distributed systemsExperience in assessing application performance and optimizing/improving it through design and best coding practicesBe an expert in core data structures as well as algorithms and can implement them using language of choicePreferred understanding and experience in one of the public clouds (AWS, Azure) native servicesExperience in agile software developmentPreferred Skills
