Job description
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled SRE Engineer with a strong background in Cloud DevSecOps to support, enhance, and ensure the reliability of both third-party and in-house applications within our Consumer Lending Technology division. The ideal candidate will apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and a proactive risk management approach to drive stability in a regulated environment, ensuring high availability and performance of critical applications., * Provide senior-level support for high-availability applications, including vendor-supported platforms, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), effective issue resolution, and proactive risk mitigation.
- Drive SRE practices by improving observability, reducing operational toil, enhancing ing mechanisms, and leading blameless post-incident reviews.
- Develop and maintain runbooks and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and scalable operational support across applications.
- Implement and operate end-to-end DevSecOps practices, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline design, automated testing, and integrated security controls throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Embed security by design into development workflows, utilizing static and dynamic code scanning, dependency management, and policy enforcement to ensure robust security measures.
- Drive standardization and automation of pipelines across teams, reducing manual effort while improving release velocity and stability.
- Utilize modern enterprise tooling, including source control platforms, pipeline orchestration, and artifact repositories, to facilitate migration from legacy delivery models to standardized platforms.
- Ensure governance, compliance, and risk controls are integrated within software delivery processes, maintaining audit readiness and secure release practices.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering, security, and operations teams to enforce quality gates while maintaining delivery continuity.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Cloud DevSecOps practices and principles.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows administration, along with Git-based development practices.
- Familiarity with cloud/container platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of risk management and stakeholder communication.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with complex vendor and internally built applications in high-availability environments.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing and security controls in CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of governance, compliance, and risk controls within software delivery.
- Ability to drive collaboration across cross-functional teams.
