About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Oracle DBA to join our Greenfield initiative focused on modernizing our debt issuance platform. This platform is central to our mission of supporting rural communities and agricultural producers through reliable financial services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and high availability solutions, with a desire to learn and excel in the capital markets domain. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing Oracle databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security, and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to support mission-critical applications., * Design, implement, and maintain robust Oracle database solutions across development, test, and production environments (On perm & Cloud).
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning measures to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Manage high availability and replication solutions (e.g., Oracle RAC, Data Guard).
- Ensure database security, including user access control and auditing.
- Collaborate with application teams to support database design, query optimization, and integration.
- Automate administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency using scripting and tools.
- Integrate database operations into CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices.
- Stay current with Oracle technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements and innovations.
- Document database architecture, procedures, and standards.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in Oracle database administration
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Oracle Database 19c and over.
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard and RMAN.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL development and tuning skills.
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with monitoring tools (OEM, AWR, ADDM, etc.).
- Soft skills:
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of the finance industry, with specific experience in capital markets a strong plus.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
