Job description
We're looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about creating accessible experiences that give every user full control of their device, regardless of physical ability. In this role, you'll build and refine accessibility features focused on hands-free and alternative input across Apple platforms, such as Voice Control and Accessibility Keyboard, as well as assistive input technologies, such as Switch Control, Head Tracking, and Eye Tracking. Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
Ability to create, understand and maintain Object-Oriented software designs
Excitement to build software that makes a tangible difference in people's lives
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with at least one of the following languages and related development tools: ObjectiveC, Swift, C++, or C
Ability to learn quickly and grapple with complex, critical code
3+ years of relevant work experience
Upbeat, adaptable, and results-oriented attitude
Aptitude for independently learning new technologies
Passion for quality and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Apple Accessibility APIs and/or Accessibility technologies
Familiarity with audio-related software development
Experience in developing safe and efficient multithreaded software systems

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
