Job description

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using relevant testing frameworks to validate application functionality across multiple user roles and workflows.
  • Design and implement UI automation using tools such as Playwright, ensuring automated test coverage is reliable, maintainable, and aligned with release objectives.
  • Lead test automation initiatives, including the integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes.
  • Conduct peer reviews of test automation code to promote quality, consistency, and adherence to engineering best practices.
  • Communicate test execution results, defects, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders during each release cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or application development for enterprise systems.
  • At least two (2) years of experience providing quality assurance and testing support for AWS-based workloads.
  • Demonstrated experience performing manual and automated testing, including defect documentation, issue reproduction, regression testing, and validation.
  • Strong experience developing test automation using Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript, along with API testing, performance testing, Swagger, and Postman.
  • Experience designing, maintaining, and integrating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions with AWS services such as Systems Manager and PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency testing applications and workloads built with AWS services and technologies, including Vue.js, Python, Django, and Amazon S3.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while collaborating with, mentoring, and supporting team members to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including planning, testing, and supporting iterative software releases.
  • Ability to test and validate workloads against AWS Well-Architected Framework principles and related quality standards.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. Due to the nature of this role and associated government clearance requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) to be eligible for consideration.
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience supporting or testing Python/Django-based web applications.
  • Experience conducting penetration, performance, or load testing for applications hosted in AWS cloud environments.
  • Experience configuring and validating application monitoring, alerting, and error tracking using Sentry or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility testing standards, requirements, and validation practices.

Benefits & conditions

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$116,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
