Information & Student Services - Director/Executive Director Position Summary Jamestown Public Schools is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and systems-minded leader to provide districtwide oversight of information services, student services, and district data coordination. This position is responsible for helping align the district's student support systems, information technology services, data systems, compliance structures, and related operational processes in support of building leadership, student achievement, staff effectiveness, and organizational efficiency. Depending on the experience, certification, and skill set of the successful candidate, this position may be restructured and may be titled as a Director or Executive Director role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Student Services Leadership
- Provide oversight of special education, pupil personnel services, and related student support programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including IDEA, Section 504, and related requirements.
- Support equitable access to services and positive outcomes for students.
- Collaborate with administrators, families, and community agencies to address student needs.
- Lead building initiatives and support building leadership in the development of programming
Information Systems & Technology Leadership
- Oversee district information systems, student data systems, and related technology operations.
- Support the effective implementation and integration of technology systems across the district.
- Ensure the security, accuracy, and appropriate use of student and staff data.
- Serve as a liaison between instructional, operational, and technology teams.
Data, Compliance & District Leadership
- Coordinate state and federal reporting requirements and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
- Support data-informed decision-making through the collection, analysis, and reporting of district information.
- Assist with district planning, accountability initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Serve as a district-level leader and advisor to the Superintendent and cabinet members.
Requirements
- New York State administrative certification, such as SDA, SDL, SBL, or equivalent.
- Master's degree in education, educational leadership, school administration, or a related field.
- Successful administrative or leadership experience in public education.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex systems, manage competing priorities, and work collaboratively across departments.
- Experience in at least one or more of the following areas: student services, special education, information services, instructional technology, data systems, building leadership or state reporting.
Preferred
- Experience with New York State reporting systems, including SIRS and related platforms.
- Knowledge of special education compliance, CSE/CPSE procedures, Section 504, and due process.
- Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with PowerSchool, WNYRIC/BOCES systems, Ed Law 2-d, FERPA, data privacy agreements, and student information systems.
- Experience in building leadership and curriculum selection, development or implementation
- Doctorate or advanced graduate study is preferred but not required.

Benefits & conditions
Work Year and Salary This is a 12-month administrative position. Salary will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and district agreements.
