Job description

  • Develop, write, and maintain technical documentation including user guides, admin guides, and SOPs
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content
  • Design and maintain SharePoint sites, libraries, navigation, and metadata structures
  • Build and enhance SharePoint solutions using lists, libraries, web parts, and workflows
  • Manage document lifecycle processes including version control, governance, and archival
  • Develop and enforce documentation standards, templates, and style guidelines
  • Collaborate with business and technical SMEs to gather requirements and validate content
  • Participate in Agile/SDLC processes to ensure documentation aligns with project delivery
  • Create diagrams, workflows, and visuals to enhance content usability
  • Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes and leverage Microsoft 365 tools including Copilot

Requirements

Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S., We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer with 5-10 years of experience who brings a strong blend of technical documentation expertise, SharePoint administration, and development capability. This role is responsible for creating, managing, and enhancing technical documentation while designing and maintaining SharePoint-based knowledge management solutions. The contractor will partner with technical and business teams to deliver clear, user-friendly, and scalable documentation that supports enterprise systems and initiatives., * Bachelor''s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Information Systems, or related field

  • 5-10 years of experience in technical writing or documentation development
  • Experience supporting enterprise systems, applications, or technical teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

Desired Skills:

  • Strong expertise in SharePoint administration (site design, libraries, governance)
  • Experience with SharePoint development (pages, lists, workflows, integrations)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Familiarity with Agile or SDLC methodologies
  • Experience with diagramming tools such as Visio
  • Knowledge of information architecture and content design principles
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to improve documentation efficiency
