Job description

Leading Hedge Fund Client Tech Engineering team is seeking two seasoned Senior Software Consultants to drive the modernization and re-platforming of critical client operations systems. You will work shoulder to shoulder with other internal engineering leaders, taking full ownership of complex, enterprise-scale problems across the entire software development lifecycle from architecture through production deployment.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role for engineers who pair strong technical judgment with an ownership mindset.

AI-Native Development Environment

Client s engineering culture embraces AI-accelerated development. Candidates are expected to leverage tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot/Codex to move quickly without sacrificing architectural rigor, test coverage, or code quality. The ideal engineer uses AI as a force multiplier, not a shortcut.

What this means in practice:

  • Rapid prototyping and boilerplate generation via Claude Code / Codex then rigorous review and refactoring
  • AI-assisted test generation paired with human-driven test strategy
  • Using LLM tooling for documentation, code review drafts, and PR summaries
  • Maintaining full accountability for all AI-generated code you own every line that ships

Requirements

  • Expert-level C# with strong software engineering discipline and clean code practices
  • Expert-level SQL complex query design, performance tuning, schema management
  • Expert-level Angular enterprise SPA architecture, component design, state management
  • Strong hands-on experience with RabbitMQ or equivalent message broker technologies
  • Strong hands-on experience with Elasticsearch or equivalent full-text/distributed search platforms

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience building integrations with Salesforce (CRM/API layer)
  • Familiarity with New Relic for application performance monitoring (APM)
  • Familiarity with Sumo Logic for log management and analytics
  • Prior experience in financial services, asset management, or capital markets environments

AI & Velocity

  • Demonstrated ability to develop rapidly using Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Codex
  • Proven track record of maintaining production-quality standards while leveraging AI tooling

Engineering Standards & Soft Skills

  • Strong experience with scalable system design and enterprise-grade engineering standards
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, testing strategies, code quality, and long-term maintainability
  • Strong analytical, coding, and debugging skills with a detail-oriented, ownership-driven mindset
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills comfortable engaging with engineering leads and business stakeholders
