Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated Test Engineer II to support the development, qualification, and production testing of advanced aerospace systems. This role involves end-to-end ownership of test campaigns for components and subassemblies across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and cryogenic systems.
You will play a critical role in ensuring systems meet performance, safety, and reliability standards through structured testing processes, data-driven validation, and cross-functional collaboration., * Plan and execute component and subsystem test campaigns from fabrication through delivery
- Develop, author, and maintain detailed test procedures and documentation
- Conduct test readiness reviews, pre-test briefings, and post-test data analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, operations, and manufacturing teams
- Define and procure required test fixtures, support equipment, and instrumentation
- Support integration of test activities into test stands and facilities
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols during all testing operations
- Improve test efficiency, throughput, and repeatability while maintaining quality standards
- Analyze and interpret test data to validate system performance and identify issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in component/system testing and data analysis
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency with test documentation, reporting, and data analysis tools, * 5+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, motorsports, or related industries
- Hands-on experience with pressurized systems (up to 6000 psi), hydraulic, pneumatic, or cryogenic systems
- Knowledge of fluid system components (valves, regulators, actuators, servo-valves, fittings)
- Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition systems (pressure transducers, accelerometers, etc.)
- Familiarity with automated testing systems and data processing techniques
- Experience with environmental and qualification testing (e.g., vibration, thermal, proof, leak testing)
- Understanding of industry standards such as MIL-STD-1540, MIL-STD-810, or similar
- Experience working with precision clean hardware and high-reliability systems
Core Competencies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Commitment to safety and quality in testing environments
- Ability to work in fast-paced, highly collaborative teams
- Ownership mindset with focus on execution and results
