Job description
- Administer and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server environments.
- Deploy, configure, and support enterprise Java applications.
- Monitor application and server performance and implement tuning recommendations.
- Provide L2/L3 Production Support for business-critical applications.
- Troubleshoot application, middleware, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams for issue resolution.
- Support production deployments, patching, upgrades, and migration activities.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting tools.
- Ensure compliance with security, availability, and performance standards.
- Participate in on-call support and production release activities.

- Experience with IBM MQ, DataPower, or WebSphere Liberty.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or OpenShift.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or ELK.
- IBM WebSphere certifications are a plus.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced WebSphere Administrator/Developer with Production Support expertise to manage, maintain, and support enterprise WebSphere environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in WebSphere Application Server administration, application deployment, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting mission-critical applications. < data-start="547" data-end="568">Required Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Administration and Development.
- Hands-on experience with WebSphere Application Server (WAS) ND, Application Deployment, and Configuration Management.
- Strong experience in Production Support, Incident Management, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Experience in application deployment, server configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Java/J2EE applications and application lifecycle management.
- Experience with WebSphere clusters, node synchronization, deployment manager, and high-availability configurations.
- Expertise in monitoring server health, logs, JVM tuning, thread dumps, heap dumps, and performance analysis.
- Experience working with Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
- Knowledge of scripting using Jython, Shell Scripts, or Python for automation.
- Experience with web servers such as IBM HTTP Server (IHS) and Apache.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and deployment automation tools.
- Experience supporting production releases, change management, and maintenance activities.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
