Job description
This position is with the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics F-22 Communication Software team in Ft. Worth, Texas. As the Software Technical Lead, you will serve as the technical authority for software development activities across the portfolio. You will provide strategic technical leadership, drive software architecture decisions, mentor engineering teams, and ensure delivery of secure, reliable, and maintainable software solutions supporting one of the world's most advanced fighter aircraft platforms. In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary software engineering teams through the full software development lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with engineering and software standards, and successful program execution.
Required to apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle and ensure the standards are met.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a Secret security clearance to start.
Requirements

Experience supporting aerospace, defense, military, or mission-critical operational systems

Familiarity or experience in systems engineering processes and technical development life cycles

Experience leading technical development teams

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, ADA Desired Skills:

Working knowledge of aircraft vehicle systems, avionics systems or operations

Technical planning and execution of complex systems

Working knowledge of the F-22 platform, architecture and systems

Experience with Communication, Navigation, and IFF systems

Knowledge of Agile Software Development

Experience with GitLab repository, Confluence, JIRA

Excellent written and verbal communication skills Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years, Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
