Senior SAP Finance Solution Architect (FI/FICA | Integration | SOX Compliance) Location: Remote (India) with overlap to Amsterdam (10:30am - 7:30pm IST) Contract: Initial 6 Months

This is a Remote (India) with overlap to Amsterdam based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on Leading SAP Finance solution design across Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Senior SAP Finance Solution Architect to join our client's global Finance Technology team, supporting one of the world's largest digital travel platforms.

This is a senior, hands-on architecture and delivery role where you will lead the design and implementation of SAP Finance solutions, drive enterprise integration strategy, and ensure finance processes remain secure, scalable and SOX compliant.

Working closely with teams across Amsterdam and Bangalore, you will partner with Finance, Engineering, Product and external consultancies such as KPMG to deliver business-critical SAP Finance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Finance solution design across Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
• Drive architecture workshops and lead technical discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Configure and optimise SAP FI including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Asset Accounting.
• Design high-volume financial processing solutions using SAP FICA.
• Own integration strategy between SAP and external enterprise platforms including banking, payment providers, tax engines and finance applications.
• Define integration standards, mapping rules and governance using modern enterprise integration methodologies.
• Deliver robust SOX-compliant solutions, ensuring strong IT General Controls (ITGC), Segregation of Duties (SoD) and audit readiness.
• Partner with Finance, Technology and external implementation partners to design scalable business solutions.
• Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover planning and hypercare activities.
• Improve operational resilience through monitoring, observability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support production issues, root cause analysis and ongoing optimisation.

Essential Experience

• 10+ years of SAP Finance experience (8-9 years minimum considered).
• Strong SAP FI configuration experience covering:

• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Asset Accounting

• Strong understanding of Record-to-Report (R2R) finance processes.
• Experience delivering SAP S/4HANA Finance programmes.
• Excellent knowledge of SAP FICA and high-volume finance processing.
• Proven experience designing SAP integrations with enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration methodologies and architecture principles.
• Demonstrated experience delivering SOX-compliant SAP Finance solutions.
• Experience implementing or supporting IT General Controls (ITGC), Segregation of Duties (SoD), audit controls and SAP GRC or equivalent governance platforms.
• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable SAP Finance solutions.
• Fluent English communication skills.
