Job description

We are seeking an experienced Delphi / SQL Developer to join our client's growing development team and work on large-scale, business-critical enterprise applications used by global clients. This is a senior technical role focused on maintaining, enhancing, and modernising a complex Delphi-based system with a strong SQL Server backend. If you enjoy solving complex problems, working with mature codebases, and contributing to long-term system stability, this role will suit you perfectly. Key Responsibilities * Maintain, support, and enhance existing Delphi enterprise applications. * Diagnose and resolve complex defects, performance issues, and system bottlenecks. * Work closely with business users to translate requirements into technical solutions. * Produce clear documentation for updates, fixes, and new features. * Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and code reviews. * Ensure all development follows secure coding and internal QA standards. * Contribute to system upgrades

Essential Skills & Experience * 10+ years commercial Delphi development (XE2, XE10 or later). * 10+ years Transact-SQL / MS SQL Server experience. * Team Leading and mentioning experience * 3+ years .NET C# experience. * Strong experience with complex, data-driven applications. * Proven background maintaining or upgrading legacy systems. * Experience with visually inherited UIs. * Strong debugging, optimisation, and performance-tuning skills. * Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid SDLC environments. * Familiarity with version control (Git, SVN, etc.). * Experience collaborating with QA, Infrastructure, and business teams. Education * Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field OR * Equivalent professional experience. * Relevant certifications are a plus.
