Job description

  • Develop and maintain the existing VB.NET codebase, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Work with SQL Server to create, optimise, and manage complex Stored Procedures and Functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, QA, and DevOps, to ensure successful delivery of project goals.
  • Support the migration of legacy systems to a modern C#, .NET Core, and React technology stack.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues in a timely manner.
  • Help organise and participate in on call duties to support customers out of hours.

Requirements

  • Team Leadership - Providing technical guidance, coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • A minimum of 5 years' commercial development experience using VB.NET and C#.
  • Expertise in SQL Server, including the development and maintenance of complex Stored Procedures and Functions.
  • Azure DevOps.
  • A solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with WinForms and WebForms.
  • Experience with Azure cloud technologies.
  • Experience with Mobile application development and deployments
  • Previous involvement in large-scale software migrations or transformations.
