Job description

The DSI - Integration / Workflow Analyst is responsible for analyzing, documenting, designing, and supporting cross-functional business workflows that connect operational processes and enterprise systems.

This role serves as a critical link between Manufacturing, Training, Warehouse Operations, Facilities Operations, Maintenance Operations, Engineering stakeholders, and the Digital Systems Integration organization to ensure business processes are effectively integrated across ERP, MES, PLM, CMMS, LMS, reporting platforms, and operational workflows.

Working under the direction of the Operations Manager - Digital Systems Integration, the Integration / Workflow Analyst focuses on understanding how information, materials, approvals, transactions, and processes move throughout the organization and translating those activities into efficient, scalable, and connected workflows.

The position plays a critical role in supporting the stand-up of Insight Globals digital operating model by ensuring business processes are fully understood, documented, streamlined, and enabled through integrated systems architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Workflow Discovery & Process Mapping

Lead workflow discovery sessions with business stakeholders.

Document and analyze:

  • Current-state workflows
  • Future-state workflows
  • Operational handoffs
  • Approval paths
  • Data flows
  • Escalation paths
  • Business dependencies
  • Process ownership

Develop detailed workflow maps and process documentation supporting operational execution and systems implementation.

Cross-Functional Integration Analysis

Analyze interactions between operational functions including:

  • Manufacturing
  • Assembly
  • Fabrication
  • Training
  • Logistics
  • Warehouse Operations
  • Maintenance
  • Facilities
  • Quality
  • Program Management

Identify process dependencies, workflow gaps, duplication of effort, and opportunities for automation.

Support creation of a unified operational workflow model across the facility.

Systems Workflow Design

Partner with Business Systems Analysts, Systems Leads, and operational stakeholders to develop workflows supporting:

  • ERP processes
  • MES transactions
  • PLM change workflows
  • CMMS maintenance workflows
  • LMS training workflows
  • Reporting and analytics workflows

Ensure workflows align with business objectives and operational requirements.

Help identify opportunities to leverage native system capabilities and streamline cross-platform interactions.

MES-Centric Workflow Development

Support development of manufacturing workflows related to Assembly and Fabrication activation.

Document processes including:

  • Production order execution
  • Work instruction flows
  • Quality checkpoints
  • Operator transactions
  • Material movement
  • Traceability requirements
  • Production reporting

Support validation of manufacturing workflows before operational activation.

Assist with continuous refinement of workflows as production matures.

ERP & Supply Chain Workflow Support

Analyze and document supply chain workflows including:

  • Procurement
  • Material receipt
  • Inventory movements
  • Kitting
  • Material staging
  • Work order support
  • Inventory reconciliation

Partner with ERP and Supply Chain Systems Leads to ensure workflows are fully integrated and operationally efficient.

PLM Workflow Support

Support engineering and product lifecycle workflows.

Document and analyze:

  • Engineering release processes
  • BOM management workflows
  • Change management activities
  • Product approval processes
  • Configuration management processes

Help ensure engineering information flows efficiently into manufacturing and operational execution systems.

CMMS & Facilities Process Integration

Support workflow analysis related to:

  • Preventive maintenance
  • Corrective maintenance
  • Work order management
  • Facilities service requests
  • Asset management
  • Reliability tracking

Ensure maintenance and facilities workflows integrate effectively with operational processes.

LMS & Workforce Readiness Workflow Support

Partner with the Training Organization to support workflow design related to:

  • Training assignment
  • Qualification management
  • Certification tracking
  • Workforce readiness validation
  • Onboarding processes
  • Recertification activities

Help ensure workforce development activities align with operational deployment requirements.

Data Flow Analysis

Analyze movement of data between systems and functional organizations.

Document:

  • Data ownership
  • Source systems
  • Business rules
  • Integration dependencies
  • Reporting requirements
  • Data validation requirements

Support development of a connected digital ecosystem with strong data governance practices.

Process Improvement & Optimization

Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and reduce operational friction.

Conduct analysis related to:

  • Process bottlenecks
  • Workflow redundancy
  • Manual effort elimination
  • Approval simplification
  • Automation opportunities
  • Cycle time reduction

Present recommendations to DSI leadership and operational stakeholders.

User Acceptance Testing & Workflow Validation

Support testing and validation activities related to new workflows and system deployments.

Coordinate:

  • Workflow walkthroughs
  • Business process validation
  • Operational readiness reviews
  • User acceptance testing support
  • Defect identification
  • Process refinement activities

Ensure workflows perform as intended before operational deployment.

Governance & Project Support

Support DSI governance activities by maintaining:

  • Workflow libraries
  • Process repositories
  • Decision records
  • Action item tracking
  • Integration documentation
  • Dependency tracking

Ensure workflow changes are properly documented and managed through approved governance processes.

Documentation Management

Develop and maintain:

  • Process maps
  • Swimlane diagrams
  • Workflow documents
  • Standard operating procedures
  • Business process narratives
  • Integration documentation
  • Operational playbooks

Maintain documentation standards and version control practices across the DSI organization.

Phase 1 & Phase 2 Responsibilities

Phase 1 - Discovery & Operating Model Definition

Help establish the operational and digital foundations required for facility launch.

  • Workflow deployment support
  • Operational launch activities

Assist in validating workflow effectiveness during early operational execution.

Long-Term Operational Optimization

As operations mature:

  • Refine workflow efficiency
  • Support process automation initiatives
  • Improve cross-functional integration
  • Enhance workflow governance
  • Expand digital operating model maturity

Continuously evaluate and improve operational effectiveness across all functional areas.

Governance & Documentation

Maintain and support:

  • Workflow repositories

  • Workflow governance records
  • Change logs
  • Process ownership matrices

Participate in governance reviews and change management activities.

Support continuous alignment between business processes and system capabilities.

Requirements

  • 3-7+ years of experience in workflow analysis, business process analysis, systems implementation, process improvement, operations analysis, or digital transformation initiatives
  • Experience supporting enterprise business systems, manufacturing operations, supply chain operations, industrial environments, or operational transformation programs
  • Strong understanding of:
