Job description
We are seeking a talented Embedded Software Engineer to develop and implement innovative software solutions for high-resolution print controllers and printheads. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure software compatibility with hardware designs., * Develop and implement embedded software solutions for high-resolution print controllers and printheads.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and product managers to define software requirements and specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and system analysis to ensure software compatibility with hardware designs.
- Write efficient, modular, and well-documented code.
- Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure design meets product requirements.
- Work with test engineers to assess software performance and functionality.
- Conduct regular code and design reviews.
- Implement software updates and bug fixes based on feedback and testing results.
- Contribute to the documentation and maintenance of software.

Requirements
64bit Debugging Visionary Innovation Unit Testing Device Drivers Defect Tracking Customer Service Embedded Systems Test Engineering Microcontrollers Systems Analysis Image Resolution Embedded Software Software Solutions Feasibility Studies Computer Engineering Industrial Automation Electrical Engineering Artificial Intelligence C (Programming Language) Linux On Embedded Systems Engineering Design Process C++ (Programming Language) Real-Time Operating Systems Interpersonal Communications Troubleshooting (Problem Solving), * Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a relevant engineering degree.
- 4+ years of experience developing embedded software.
- Excellent knowledge of embedded systems, embedded Linux, and real-time operating systems.
- Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting of embedded systems.
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming for embedded systems.
- Experience with 32-bit and 64-bit microcontrollers and hardware-software integration.
- Knowledge of software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and code review.
- Familiarity with reading electrical schematics and data sheets for components.
- Automation experience, ideally from the industrial automation industry.
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and adapt quickly to time-sensitive needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience porting embedded Linux to a custom hardware platform.
- Experience in Linux and RTOS device drivers and applications development.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
Benefits & conditions
This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $60.00/hr.
