Job description
Please note, starting salaries are based on factors including internal equity, relevant experience, and education., The Graduate Assistant for Leadership Programming will work directly with the Assistant Director for Student Engagement & Development in the Office of Student Engagement & Development (SED) to provide support for leadership programming. The Graduate Assistant for Leadership Programming is a member of the Student Engagement & Development team and has shared responsibility for the achievement of departmental goals and assessment.

Support and assist in the development and execution of leadership programs hosted by Student Engagement & Development.

Facilitate leadership programming events and workshops that are aligned with SED mission and objectives.

Direct advising of new student organizations at Trinity.

Assist with the execution of departmental assessment initiatives.

Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
-
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education before start date.

Enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution. Required Qualifications

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.

Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong creative and problem-solving skills.

Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.

Willingness to work with diverse populations.

Ability to maintain an appropriate degree of confidentiality.

Use and knowledge of computer, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite programs.

Use and knowledge of social media platforms and tools (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest), * Experience in student programming, leadership education, counseling, and/or other related fields.

An understanding of student development theory.

Proven commitment to and appreciation for issues of diversity and inclusion.

Ability to articulate issues and trends in higher education.

Experience designing and conducting assessment activities.

Ability to take on assigned tasks with a high level of creativity, independence, and initiative.
Benefits & conditions
- Dates of employment are July 2026 - May 2027.
- Average of 20 hours worked per week (unless otherwise approved by supervisor).
- Available to work occasional evenings and/or weekends.
