Job description
will lead and contribute to the development of core SE work products, CONOPS, System Architecture, Requirements & Interface Control Documents, Mission/System Analysis, and Trade Studies, and lead the effort for requirement verification through the assembly, integration, and test process, including system-level test. They'll contribute to program design and readiness reviews, collaborate with SE leadership and peers to ensure consistent SE practices across programs, and serve as the primary external technical contact, frequently engaging with customers, subcontractors, and mission partners. Additional opportunities will arise to support internal R&D and new business pursuits as the program portfolio grows. Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent engineering experience) 12+ years with a Bachelor's, 10+ years with a Master's, or 7+ years with a PhD Active DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI Prior experience in the space domain and satellite segment design (required) Hands-on Systems Engineering experience developing core SE work products: CONOPS, System Architecture, Requirements & Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Mission/System Analysis, Trade Studies Experience leading requirements verification through assembly, integration, and test (AI&T), including system-level test Experience contributing to or leading major design and readiness reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, ORR) Familiarity with both traditional SE and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to interface with customers, subcontractors, mission partners, and government representatives Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and drive cost/schedule execution
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Prior experience as an IPT Lead or Technical Lead on a space/satellite program (strongly desired) Active TS/SCI clearance Hands-on experience with Cameo / MagicDraw, DOORS, STK, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) with EVM responsibilities for assigned control accounts Experience defining and managing IMS tasks to achieve program milestones Background across the full SE IPT scope: Mission & Space Vehicle SE, Cyber Security SE, Specialty Engineering, Launch System Integration SE, Modeling & Simulation, System-Level Test Experience supporting proposals, internal R&D, and new business pursuits Prior work with DoD, civil, intelligence, or commercial space customers
