Full-time position available on or after August 10, 2026 for Office of Information Technology. This position's responsibilities are carried out under general supervision, and will be primarily assigned to the Turlock campus, and will also travel to support the Stockton and future Tracy satellite campuses. The incumbent is responsible for diagnosing and resolving moderately complex technology issues, managing small projects, and providing guidance to users. Work involves applying acquired job skills and established procedures while exercising judgment in resolving technical problems, configuring systems, and recommending solutions. The incumbent may provide direction to student assistants or staff on routine assignments., + Duties include but are not limited to: o Provides advanced technical support to internal users of computer applications and hardware. o Analyzes and resolves complex hardware and software issues related to computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other technology equipment. o Provide Support Desk support including working with students, staff and faculty. o Generation of Warrior Cards for Students, staff and faculty. o Provide technical support for campus events including NSO, NSAR, etc. o Diagnoses and resolves network connectivity issues including connectivity and VPN's. o Escalates technical issues to support teams, as necessary. o Provide support for AV technology and workstations in classrooms, conference rooms, and other learning spaces to assist Learning Services. o Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installation, software and firmware updates, preventive and corrective maintenance, documentation of changes, and troubleshooting. o Provide customer support to ensure a positive user experience. o Develops standardized and specialized equipment and application configurations that support faculty pedagogy and classroom instructional formats. o Provides technical guidance to departments on the procurement, setup, and deployment of technology equipment. o Working with endpoint management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, or JAMF). o Assigning, Updating and completing tickets in TeamDynamix. o Updating Property Database for I.T. related equipment. o Evaluates and advises stakeholders on technology needs in classrooms, labs, and campus spaces. o Develops and delivers technology support documentation and training materials to educate users on technology tools and best practices. o Leads small or specialty technology support projects. o Provides lead work direction and training to student employees, as well as technical and administrative staff. o May be required to obtain additional training and/or certification as part of professional development, based on department and/or campus needs, to stay current with industry standards. o At the direction of appropriate administrator, may provide support to other areas as needed. o The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this classification. o Other duties as assigned., o Valid California Driver's License

Requirements

Education: Two (2) years of relevant experience. (An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.) Experience: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field. (Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.), o 2 years of direct experience supporting audiovisual, broadcast, streaming, and related multimedia technology systems. o Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related STEM field. o Prior experience in a CSU or higher education setting. o Certification such as CompTIA Security+, ITIL Foundation, Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), or Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator. o Experience supporting live event, mobile broadcast, or audiovisual production environments. o Experience working with Dante audio networking systems and related audiovisual technologies. o Experience creating or utilizing technical diagrams, equipment layouts, or setup documentation for audiovisual or broadcast-related technology deployments. o Experience assembling, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, or supporting audiovisual and Dante-enabled audio systems.

o Strong knowledge and expertise in hardware and software troubleshooting. o Knowledge of network connectivity, server administration, and system troubleshooting. o Knowledge and ability to apply consultative skills to assess user needs and provide appropriate technology support. o Strong organizational skills to plan, organize, and manage technology support delivery and complete related small projects. o Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present technical information to technically diverse audiences in a clear and concise manner and produce technology education materials. o Strong analytical skills to evaluate technology and configure and deploy systems updates. o Skill in providing direction and training to others. o Proficiency in using applicable software or technology systems. o Knowledge of university policies, data needs, and data privacy regulations.
Benefits & conditions
- Anticipated starting salary will be $5,787 (step 1) - $6,264 (step 5) per month plus excellent paid benefits. Future increases, including step advancement, are subject to contract negotiations. Full range Salary will depend on the qualifications of the successful finalist. Full $5,787 (step 1) - $8,430 (step 20) per month.
