Job description
You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performance software solutions.
You will report directly to our Senior Application Engineer Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Atlanta, GA location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the overall software quality and customer satisfaction by ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability. Your contributions will help maintain Honeywell's reputation as a leader in delivering innovative and dependable software solutions., * Develop and execute comprehensive software test plans and test cases to ensure product quality and compliance with requirements.
- Collaborate with development, product management, and other stakeholders to define quality standards and testing strategies.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and work with teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing process enhancements in software quality assurance.
- Support automation efforts to increase test coverage and efficiency.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights and reporting to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and defect management.
- 5+ years in designing and executing test cases, both manual and automated, to ensure software quality.
- 5+ years of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with test automation tools and scripting languages to enhance testing efficiency.
- Ability to debug and analyze software defects and collaborate with development teams to drive resolution.
We Value:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience working in fast-paced, Agile development environments including Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java for test automation.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools.
- Understanding of technical design and internal/external interface methods like REST API, AMQP, TCP/IP Socket, sync/async, Thrift, Kafka, JSON, XML, etc.
- Proficiency in test data configuration and planning for functional, system integration, end-to-end, volume performance, and failure mode test cycles.
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills., Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
