Job description

  • Perform advanced testing and complex configuration/solutioning of x86 Enterprise Server Solutions and Storage Arrays
  • Create and configure RAID groups, storage pools, and logical unit configurations across enterprise storage platforms
  • Advanced testing and configuration of Cisco, Juniper, and other networking equipment
  • Execute comprehensive testing and validation of networking, server, and storage products against full order specifications
  • Perform complex hardware assembly, diagnostics, and root-cause troubleshooting across multi-vendor enterprise environments
  • Efficiently manage multiple concurrent projects and orders, maintaining accuracy and meeting customer delivery timelines without sacrificing quality
  • Ensure all incoming gear is properly tested, logged, and binned correctly using the Tech Work Space and technician logging systems
  • Interface collaboratively with Product, Shipping, Receiving, Repair, Material Control, and Sales teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment
  • Accurately maintain records within the inventory management system and produce technical documentation as required
  • Actively pursue continued learning and development in enterprise server, storage, and networking technologies - staying current with industry trends, certifications, and vendor advancements
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in compliance with operational standards
  • Network Infrastructure & Traffic Management: Demonstrate advanced proficiency in IP addressing configurations, subnetting, and VLAN segmentation; actively manage and validate end-to-end traffic flow across network ports to ensure optimal connectivity and security
  • Platform & License Lifecycle Optimization: Manage platform licensing configurations, maintaining a deep understanding of feature capabilities, entitlement compliance, and software constraints to maximize hardware utilization
  • Enterprise Hardware Lifecycle Expertise: Apply expert-level knowledge of enterprise hardware architectures, component identification, and cross-platform hardware compatibility to guide deployment, validation, and complex troubleshooting workflows

This is a dynamic, high-impact role requiring strong hands-on expertise, the ability to manage competing priorities under tight timelines, and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. Successful technicians in this role take ownership of their work, contribute directly to the success of the business, and continuously expand their knowledge of evolving enterprise technologies., * 2+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise IT hardware, including server, storage, and networking equipment

  • Demonstrated ability to configure and solution complex enterprise environments, including RAID configurations, storage pools, server deployments, and operating system installations
  • Solid understanding of testing methodology, network and storage topology, and structured cabling
  • Ability to follow and create SOPs, as well as interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams
  • Proven ability to multitask and execute effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality
  • Strong customer-service mindset, understanding the direct relationship between technical output and customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, establish priorities, and drive objectives to completion without close supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical status and issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and inventory/asset management systems
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advances in enterprise IT infrastructure
  • Firm understanding of enterprise server and storage solutions including x86 hardware architecture, SAN, NAS, DAS, and Windows Server environments

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Bonus:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline strongly preferred
  • Industry certification strongly preferred: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCST, or other applicable enterprise IT credential
