Job description

We are seeking an experienced BW Migration Consultant with strong expertise in SAP BW transformation and modern data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in migrating SAP BW classical systems to SAP BDC and Datasphere environments, along with a strong understanding of finance domain data models. This role requires deep technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to design scalable, high-performance data solutions., * Lead and execute end-to-end SAP BW migration projects from on-premises environments to SAP BDC and Datasphere.

  • Design and implement data models, analytical datasets, fact and dimension views using SAP Datasphere (graphical & SQL views).
  • Develop and manage BDC Data Product Generators, especially within the Finance domain.
  • Define and maintain data integration strategies using SAP BTP, Datasphere, and Databricks.
  • Integrate data from SAP and non-SAP systems using connectors and APIs.
  • Manage the lifecycle of SAP BDC platform including deployment, optimization, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Ensure seamless data orchestration across SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud and other enterprise systems.
  • Work on connection points in SAP BW such as Datasphere and SAP BW Bridge.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of data pipelines and models.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and quality.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a SAP BW Migration Consultant.
  • Strong expertise in BDC Data Product Generator, especially in the Finance domain.
  • Proven experience in SAP BW classical system migration (on-premises to SAP BDC).
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Joule Studio and building AI capabilities within SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP BW architecture and data structures.
  • Expertise in SAP Datasphere architecture and data modeling (graphical & SQL views).
  • Experience building analytical datasets, fact tables, and dimension views.
  • Strong experience with SAP BTP, Datasphere, and Databricks integration.
  • Knowledge of SAP BW Bridge and Datasphere connection points.
  • Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP data sources using connectors.
  • Proficiency in Python for Datasphere development.
  • Strong understanding of S/4HANA Private Cloud integration.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into high-performing data solutions., * Experience with AI/ML integration in SAP environments.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities., * Strong expertise in SAP data ecosystem and migration strategies
