Technical Leader Java

As a partner of prestigious companies in French-speaking Switzerland, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Technical Leader Java to join our dynamic team., 1. Architecture & Technical Expertise

• Design the architecture and technical solutions of Java applications.
• Define technical designs, select appropriate frameworks and libraries.
• Handle the most complex developments and resolve technical blockers.
• Ensure code quality: code reviews, compliance with standards, best practices, management of technical debt.
• Conduct continuous technological watch and propose relevant evolutions.

2. Supervision & Leadership

• Technically guide the development team and ensure coherence of technical choices.
• Support the skill development of junior and senior developers.
• Participate in the integration and training of new arrivals.

3. Organisation & Coordination

• Analyse functional needs and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Estimate workloads, contribute to planning and collaborate with Product Owners.
• Identify risks, anticipate dependencies and ensure deadlines are met.
• Supervise or write technical, architecture and API documentation.

4. Collaboration & Communication

• Act as a link between technical teams, project teams and business stakeholders.
• Clearly communicate technical issues and propose suitable solutions.
• Actively participate in a collaborative and multidisciplinary work environment., Expected Deliverables
• Technical design documents.
• High-quality source code.
• Unit test suites.
• Technical documentation and development processes.
• Study reports and technical analyses.

Technical Skills

• Excellent mastery of Java development and complex application architectures.
• Proven experience in technical design and architecture choices.
• Very good knowledge of modern Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).
• Mastery of software quality practices: unit testing, code reviews, CI/CD.
• Ability to manage technical debt and anticipate technological obsolescence.

Human & Organisational Skills

• Natural leadership, ability to unite and motivate a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (level C2 required).
• Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical interlocutors.
• Strong analytical, synthesis skills and a global vision of challenges.
• Negotiation skills, diplomacy and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment.

Experience & Prerequisites

• Proven experience as a Java Tech Lead or equivalent role.
• Successful experience in supporting and upskilling development teams.
• Experience in large-scale digital transformation projects.
• Experience in public administration or the Swiss judicial sector is a significant asset., You demonstrate team spirit and good communication skills. Thanks to your organisational qualities, you are able to work autonomously. Rigorous and methodical, you stand out notably by your analytical and synthesis abilities.
