Job description

Airbus Helicopters España, SA is looking for an IT Operation Specialist - Intermediate Linux Support to join its Digital Campus in Albacete, Spain., * Manage the entire lifecycle of Linux computers, servers, and applications from request to decommission.

  • Contribute to the detailed setup of Linux systems and applications.
  • Install and support Linux computers, servers, and applications.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of devices through defined processes.
  • Propose continuous performance improvements based on data and event analysis.
  • Support product managers to monitor system performance.
  • Create and update documentation for team members.
  • Solve incidents and requests related to hardware, network, drivers, kernel, and applications.

Requirements

  • Experience in a large enterprise environment and with partners or subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration (Debian, Redhat, CentOS).
  • Proficient scripting skills in Bash, Python, Ruby, or similar.
  • Experience with MDM tools such as Foreman, Katello, Puppet, Ansible, and automated deployments.
  • Knowledge of networking, Active Directory, LDAP, NIS, PKI, virtualization, version control, and encryption tools.
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles for incident and change management.
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying root cause issues and resolving them.
  • Excellent communication abilities, active listening, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Proactive, self-aware, transparent, and open to feedback.
  • Respect for Airbus values and a drive for empowerment and simplicity.
  • English negotiation level required.
