Java Software Engineer

As a Senior Java Developer, you will help create reliable, scalable software that directly supports the quality and continuity of digital services. You will work on complex backend solutions, contribute to technical decisions, and support the team in delivering robust systems. This role combines hands-on development with senior-level collaboration, quality focus, and technical direction. In this part-time position, you will have an impact on architecture, performance, and maintainability, while also helping other developers grow.

At least 5 years of experience as a Java Developer or in a similar backend role

• Strong knowledge of Java and common backend principles
• Experience with REST APIs, data modelling, and relational databases
• Familiarity with software testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices
• Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written
• HBO or WO level of thinking, preferably in computer science or a related field

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Boot
• Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Experience with microservices architec.
