Job description

  • We will expect you to build and operate Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments.
  • We will expect you to manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and ARM Templates.
  • We will expect you to support GitOps-based CI/CD and deployment pipelines.
  • We will expect you to operate observability tooling including Grafana and OpenTelemetry.
  • We will expect you to maintain platform networking, service mesh, and API gateway layers.
  • We will expect you to support event streaming infrastructure and platform reliability.

  • DevOps, We are a prestigious organisation seeking a Platform Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract in a hybrid working arrangement, with two days per week in our London office. We are building a modern, cloud-native platform that underpins AI and automation services across a large-scale enterprise environment. This is a greenfield Kubernetes platform built using modern engineering practices across Azure, GitOps, service mesh, observability, and event-driven architecture. You will join a high-impact engineering team and work closely with architects and other engineering teams to shape the future of our platform while helping us maintain high standards across automation, security, scalability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer with strong platform engineering and cloud-native infrastructure experience.
  • We require hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • We require experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • We require experience with Docker, CI/CD, and GitOps workflows.
  • We require strong Linux skills, Bash scripting, and platform automation experience.
  • We require experience with observability tooling such as Grafana and Prometheus.
  • We require knowledge of Kubernetes networking, security, and service mesh technologies.
  • Experience with Cilium, Istio, ArgoCD or Flux, OpenTelemetry, Kafka or Redpanda, Python automation tooling, and Policy as Code or Kubernetes security tooling would be highly beneficial.
