Job description

As Weir continues the adoption of the Product Operating Model (POM) and Agile ways of working, the Atlassian toolset plays a critical role in enabling consistent, transparent, and data-driven delivery across the enterprise.

The Atlassian Support Analyst will be responsible for supporting, configuring, and continuously improving the Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, and Atlassian Analytics) to ensure it effectively underpins the strategic flow of information across the portfolio, including the S/4HANA (S4+) transformation.

Working within the Transformation Programme team and closely aligned to the PMO, this role will ensure that tooling supports governance, portfolio reporting, and end-to-end visibility-from strategic planning through to execution-while maintaining a high-quality user experience for a growing global user base., Tooling Configuration & Strategic Alignment:

  • Configure and optimise Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence to support the end-to-end flow of work across the portfolio, aligning strategy, epics, capabilities, and delivery.
  • Enable integration of S4+ programme delivery into the wider portfolio view, ensuring traceability from business objectives through to execution.
  • Design and maintain workflows, hierarchies, and data models that support portfolio governance, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Support the configuration of Atlassian tools to enable standardised ways of working across domains (Minerals, ESCO, Corporate).

Portfolio & Governance Enablement:

  • Support PMO governance cadences (e.g., portfolio reviews, PPQR, QBR, operations reviews) through accurate and timely tooling outputs.
  • Ensure consistent data structures and reporting outputs to enable executive-level insights across programmes, including S4+.
  • Contribute to improving data quality, completeness, and hygiene within Jira Align and Jira.

System Administration & Continuous Improvement:

  • Administer day-to-day operation of the Atlassian suite, including user management, permissions, and system maintenance.
  • Continuously identify and implement enhancements to improve tool performance, usability, and scalability.
  • Support integration between Atlassian tools and other enterprise systems where required.

User Support & Enablement

  • Act as a key point of contact for Atlassian users, providing hands-on support, issue resolution, and guidance.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and best practice guides.
  • Deliver training sessions to drive adoption of Agile practices and standardised tooling usage.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with PMO, S4 Programme teams, and business stakeholders to ensure tooling meets evolving programme and portfolio needs.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration by enabling clear visibility of dependencies, risks, and progress through the tooling.

Requirements

  • Proven experience administering and supporting Atlassian tools (Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, Atlassian Analytics) in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks (e.g. SAFe) and portfolio-level planning concepts.
  • Experience configuring tools to support portfolio management, governance, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of large-scale transformation programmes, ideally including ERP/SAP S/4HANA environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data quality and reporting accuracy.
  • Ability to translate business needs into practical tooling solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to support a broad user base.
