Job description

  • Translate high-fidelity Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive web elements.
  • Build bespoke WordPress websites using our in-house block-based theme.

  • Maintain and expand our portfolio of modern web applications built with Laravel, React, and Next.js.
  • Communicate directly with clients to gather requirements and present solutions.
  • Troubleshoot bugs, optimize performance, and ensure a seamless user experience across all devices.

  • WordPress, We are looking for a Senior Web Developer to join our in-house team in Dedham. This is a fully in-person role based in Colchester CO7, with on-site parking available. The position offers a salary of £35,000 to £45,000 per year, and we are seeking someone able to reliably commute to the studio on a daily basis and travel as required. We build bespoke WordPress websites, custom plugins, and modern web applications, and we work directly with clients to turn their vision into reality.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Highly familiar with the WordPress ecosystem, including themes, architecture, and backend development.
  • Ability to translate high-fidelity Figma designs into responsive, pixel-perfect web elements.
  • Solid experience with modern build tools such as Vite and CSS preprocessors such as Sass.
  • Good working knowledge of relational databases, specifically MySQL and SQLite.
  • Strong proficiency with Git, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence speaking directly with clients.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a logical approach to debugging.
  • Experience with modern PHP frameworks, particularly Laravel, is desirable.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, particularly React and Next.js, is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of TypeScript is desirable.
  • Experience building custom WordPress plugins from scratch is desirable.
  • Experience building, securing, and consuming RESTful APIs is desirable.
  • Knowledge of semantic HTML and basic technical SEO best practices is desirable.
  • Familiarity with modern deployment tools and server workflows is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Photoshop is desirable.
