Job description
As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, deployment and operation of cloud-native architectures supporting ENGIE's Distributed Solar & Storage activities. You will contribute to building secure, resilient and high-performance cloud platforms, primarily on AWS, while also leveraging Databricks (Microsoft Azure) where relevant. You will be working closely with key business stakeholders, enabling digital solutions that support asset monitoring, optimization and business processes across the energy value chain.

Design, build, and operate cloud architectures and applications on AWS (primary) and Microsoft Azure (secondary) in alignment with ENGIE's cloud strategy, security standards, and best practices. Apply DevOps and SRE principles, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, alerting, resilience, and incident management.

Ensure scalability, availability, and cost-efficiency of cloud infrastructures that support digital products and operational platforms. Develop and maintain automation and integrations of services and platforms such as Lambda, IoT Core, Firehose, SQS, and DocumentDB.

Support data platforms and analytics workloads, including integration with Databricks and cloud data services like data lakes, streaming, and batch processing.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet business needs for Distributed Solar & Storage activities.

Ensure compliance with Fortune 500 and NERC cybersecurity, governance, and Digital & IT processes, including access management, data protection, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
- Minimum 5-years of proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with advanced expertise in AWS cloud architecture and services (networking, compute, storage, IAM, security, monitoring).
- Understanding of AWS Secure API development, NoSQL (AWS DocumentDB) and relational (MySQL) databases.
- Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and Databricks
- Development skills in Python, including production-grade code, automation and cloud integrations.
- Understanding of cloud security, networking and cost management.
- Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments with CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy;
- Must be available to travel domestically up to 5% of the time
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
