This role plays a key part in developing and maintaining data pipelines that support business intelligence and data-driven initiatives. What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL/ELT processes for enterprise data systems
- Build and optimize data pipelines across platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake
- Create and maintain data mappings, workflows, and technical documentation
- Monitor ETL processes, troubleshoot errors, and ensure data integrity and performance
- Collaborate with data analysts, modelers, and technical teams to deliver data solutions
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations
- Support data warehouse and data lake development, including historical and future-dated data structures
- Participate in on-call support rotation for ETL processing and issue resolution
Note: Responsibilities will scale based on experience level-from guided development at the entry level to independent design, optimization, and mentorship at the senior level.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Business, Education, or a closely related field
- Substitution: 4 years of professional or high-level technical work experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree. An associate's degree with two years of relevant work experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree
Experience:
ENTRY LEVEL
- Enterprise ETL design/development familiarity (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Informatica, dbt, DataStage, etc.)
PROFESSIONAL
- 1 or more years' experience with enterprise ETL design/development experience (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Informatica, dbt, Fivetran, DataStage)
SENIOR
- Two (2) or more years' experience with enterprise ETL design/development experience (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Informatica, dbt, Fivetran, DataStage, Boomi), * 2 or more years' experience with tools (e.g. Boomi, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Mulesoft, UC4, Autosys)
- Experience with Boomi API development
- Experience authoring PL/SQL or complex SQL and Python
- Experience in programming, workflow automation and complex logic
- Experience in support of a Business Intelligence or data warehousing/data lake initiative
- Knowledge of relational and dimensional data models and MS SQL or Oracle databases
- Experience working in higher education environment

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
