Job description
As a Digital Services Technical Lead, you will lead initiatives and build processes to advocate for modern software practices through a DevSecOps Methodology. This is a hands-on technical role requiring the skills to drive innovation and collaboration between diverse teams, including Software Developers, AWS Site Reliability Engineers, and Security experts. Technical expertise is required to mature software development practices and the continuous delivery of applications., * Lead the technical design, development, and solutioning of new technology implementations.
- Drive the maturity of current software development and continuous delivery of highly visible applications.
- Oversee a broad range of technology transformation initiatives, including artificial intelligence and advanced analytics.
- Draft technical approach responses for RFIs that align with strategic roadmaps.
- Use modern tools and observability metrics to identify and troubleshoot enterprise or cloud platform issues.
- Prioritize, manage, and own customer issues from identification to resolution.
- Identify and address inefficiencies in team processes and create plans for improvement.
- Establish a standard approach for how data, systems, and new technologies connect and operate.
- Create and review documentation, including incident reports, root cause analyses, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in Agile sprints to evolve business processes and technologies.
Requirements
Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field is required.
Experience: 8-10 years of required experience, with a total of 12+ years of experience building or operating on AWS, networking, IT security tools, and databases.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on expertise in DevSecOps, security, automation, application development, and release management.
- Experience with establishing and maturing application development and CI/CD towards progressive delivery.
- Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code solutions.
- Understanding of identity access management roles and permissions.
- Experience with tools in an AWS Cloud environment such as CloudWatch and OpenSearch, and security tools like Aqua or DLP.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based containerized applications (AWS EKS), including Spring Boot services.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD, including enabling environments, feature flags, and DORA Metrics aggregation.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog.
- Coding proficiency in at least one language (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby).
- Knowledge of PaaS (Platform as a Service) environments and network administration principles.
- Familiarity with remote access software including SFTP, RDP, and PCoIP/DCV protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Solutions Architect - Professional certification.
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty certification.
