Under the supervision of the IT Manager and the lead of the Phoenix Systems Support (PSS) Team, provide a variety of computing technical support and services to Phoenix staff, faculty, and affiliates of the Entomology & Nematology, Plant Pathology departments, and Programs within. The incumbent is expected to acquire the skills and knowledge to perform more advanced work following an agreed upon time in position, through defined on-the-job training and development planning. Implement and maintain security configurations to support Campus Cybersecurity guidelines. Maintain incident and service request management documentation., * 50% - Client & Systems Support
- 25% - Instructional Technology Technician and Multimedia Database Curator
- 20% - Special Projects and Assignments

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- Experience providing great Customer Service in a high-tempo busy environment with frequent interruptions.
- Experience with learning and applying various technological solutions without formal training, standard operating procedures, documentation or paid enterprise solutions.
- Experience with demonstrating consistent professional high quality performance and attention to detail. Consistently maintain complete and accurate system hardware, software licensing, network and work records., * Demonstrated knowledge and effective application of Departmental, UC, Federal and State: Communication, IT security policies and procedures.
- Proficient with Bigfix, Infoblox, Microsoft Active Directory, HyperV, Powershell, SCCM, WSUS.
- Proficient with Cloud/Hybrid Cloud hosting technologies like: Office365, Box.com, Azure, AWS, dropbox, various Google Apps, Aggie Video.
- Proficient with a variety of Content Management Systems (CMS) such as: Concrete5, Wordpress, UC Davis SiteFarm, UC Davis Canvas, Kaltura, UC ANR Sitebuider, Plone, and Drupal., * Chemicals, dust, gases, or fumes - Never 0 Hours
