This contract opportunity is focused on modernizing collaboration, standardizing user experiences, and scaling automation capabilities across the organization.
This role will play a key part in driving enterprise initiatives centered around improving governance, enhancing platform performance, and delivering secure, scalable solutions across SharePoint Online and the Power Platform. The engineer will work on designing and optimizing information architecture, advancing automation strategies, and resolving complex technical challenges to enable more efficient business processes.
You will partner closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to implement solutions that improve collaboration, streamline workflows, and ensure consistent, high-quality user experiences across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Project Initiatives / Business Drivers
- Standardizing and scaling Microsoft 365 collaboration tools to eliminate inconsistent user experiences
- Enhancing governance across SharePoint Online and Power Platform environments (DLP, CoE, lifecycle management)
- Improving automation and operational efficiency through Power Apps and Power Automate solutions
- Strengthening platform performance, reliability, and security across the tenant
- Supporting compliance and governance initiatives, including Microsoft Purview
- Expanding enterprise adoption of modern workplace tools and capabilities, * Configure, administer, and optimize SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and OneDrive for Business
- Design and manage SharePoint Online information architecture (sites, hubs, taxonomy, metadata, content organization)
- Implement and maintain site lifecycle management processes (provisioning, governance, archival, decommissioning)
- Troubleshoot complex issues across SharePoint Online, Power Apps, and Power Automate environments
- Develop, deploy, and support Power Apps and Power Automate solutions to automate business processes
- Establish and enforce Power Platform governance (environment strategy, DLP policies, CoE toolkit, usage monitoring)
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and scripting tools
- Monitor tenant health, performance, usage, and service reliability using M365 administration tools
- Support Microsoft Purview compliance and governance initiatives
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to design scalable solutions that enhance collaboration and user experience
- Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage work items, track progress, and participate in Agile ceremonies

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a Microsoft 365 enterprise environment
- 5+ years of SharePoint Online experience, including Information Architecture
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Power Apps development
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Power Automate development
- 3+ years of experience with Power Platform governance
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within M365 environments
- Experience managing platform performance, usage, and health, * Experience with Microsoft Purview governance and compliance tools
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 (adoption, governance, and use cases)
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for Agile delivery and task management
- Prior experience in financial services or regulated environments, * Onsite collaboration preferred (Sioux Falls, SD or Des Moines, IA)
- Standard business hours with a consistent weekday schedule
- Team-oriented environment with cross-functional collaboration

This is a Contract position based out of West Des Moines, IA. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95.00 - $110.00/hr.
