Job description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Lvl 4 Cloud Platform Administrator to support the design, build, and operation of shared cloud platform services in Microsoft Azure. This is a first shift, onsite position based in Berkeley, Missouri; Seattle, Washington; or Daytona Beach, Florida. This role requires an active U.S. Secret Clearance (active within the past 24 months) and the ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP).
This individual will focus on building and maintaining platform capabilities that enable teams to deploy, run, and manage containerized and cloud-hosted applications in a consistent and scalable way. The role is centered on platform reliability, repeatability, automation, and service enablement rather than custom application development.
This position will work across container orchestration, Kubernetes platform services, deployment automation, and operational support to define and implement standardized platform solutions that support enterprise applications and software toolchains.
Requirements
Active U.S. Secret Clearance (active within the past 24 months); must pass DISC verification prior to submission
Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
9+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree OR 13 years of experience if no degree
3+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering and/or platform-focused roles
3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure (strong AWS fundamentals acceptable) and Kubernetes (AKS, OpenShift, Tanzu, or similar - Docker alone is not sufficient)
3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation (GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar)
3+ years of experience with cloud, containerization, and automation tooling
Proficiency in scripting - PowerShell required; Python and/or Bash strongly preferred Experience managing Helm charts, operators, and container image lifecycle
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates or Bicep (Terraform is not currently utilized in this environment)
Experience integrating persistent storage and backup/recovery solutions
Experience building reusable platform standards for multiple teams
Experience supporting highly regulated, mission-critical, or classified environments
Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Azure Administrator, or Azure Solutions Architect
Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field
