Job description

The Test Supervisor will manage the production workers focused on testing the SolidTron products. This hands-on role will work alongside our Test Technicians to create efficiencies in our processes, and develop employee capabilities.

What You'll Do:

  • Supervise staff to carry out testing analysis of components ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Schedule workflow through the department so that customer deadlines are met; monitor throughput and performance.
  • Coordination between departments is essential to ensure resources are available.
  • Monitor and maintain QC standards.
  • Read and interpret testing requirements and procedures (on occasion).
  • Draft and update as required standard test procedures, test instructions, and test work routers
  • Provide feedback on test routers to improve testing efficiency and yield
  • Responsible for ensuring product meets conformance and signing off on CoCs.
  • Train and motivate staff, set goals, review performance and assess training needs.
  • Develop, along with engineering, new laboratory methods to increase product flow, mitigate losses, and to ensure standards are continually improving.
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the facility on area performance, interruptions to workflow and safety concerns.
  • Directly responsible for ensuring safety, housekeeping and cleanliness of area daily.
  • Responsible for ensuring all preventative maintenance and calibration in completed on time and on budget.
  • Accountable for own actions as well as those of subordinates.

Requirements

We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins., * Bachelor's degree in technical field or Associates degree plus 3 years of manufacturing experience.

  • 2-5 years of previous supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • 3-5 years of prior manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast paced, professional environment.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends when needed.
  • Ensure full compliance with testing procedures and company ES&H.
  • Competence in MS office suite desired specifically Excel required
  • Familiarity with working in ISO/AS9100 regulated environment preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to conduct daily and weekly audits walking and/or standing in facility up to 8 hours per day;
  • Must be able to push and/or pull carts up to 50 lbs.
