Job description

Job Role and Responsibility: AMD Design, LLC, a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring PMTS Test Engineer to Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory. Define module interfaces/formats for simulation. Serve as a key technical contributor to both the Electrical and Platform level validation of platforms. Develop and execute test plans which will verify product functionality, adherence to electrical specifications and production requirements; including SW stack and use case testing. Debug, identify root cause and resolve issues. Evaluate and analyze test specifications, requirements, strategies and methodologies for electrical validation and platform level testing. Exercise independent judgment to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various company proprietary products., AMD may use Artificial Intelligence to help screen, assess or select applicants for this position. Requirements

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will accept alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
