Artificial Intelligence Consultant

You will act as the primary point of contact for all Generative AI engineering initiatives across the organisation., * You will support the rollout and adoption of agentic development tools, including GitHub Copilot and similar AI-powered developer solutions.

• You will define, implement, and enforce governance standards related to the use of AI development tools across the developer community.
• You will promote best practices and drive optimal adoption through training sessions, workshops, community engagement, and collaboration with internal learning teams.
• You will create and maintain a central repository of MCPs, skills, templates, and reusable assets relevant to developers.
• You will support citizen developers throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring ideas are successfully transformed into production-ready solutions.
• You will oversee security, compliance, cost management, and policy adherence to ensure AI usage remains aligned with legal, ethical, and internal requirements.
• You will design, develop, maintain, and standardise code-driven agentic automations across the organisation.
• You will maintain visibility of AI-driven automations being developed by both IT and business teams and identify opportunities for standardisation and reuse.
• You will establish and maintain a catalogue of agentic automations covering the full SDLC, from backlog intake and requirements gathering through development, testing, validation, and deployment.
• You will ensure automated solutions comply with business requirements, security standards, governance policies, and quality controls.
• You will stay informed about emerging trends in Generative AI, AI agents, and software engineering automation and translate these innovations into practical business value.

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, developer enablement, or related technical roles.
• Proven experience with Generative AI technologies, AI assistants, and agentic development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience creating and implementing governance frameworks, standards, and policies for AI-powered development tools.
• Knowledge of software development technologies, cloud platforms, APIs, and automation frameworks.
• Experience supporting both professional and citizen developer communities.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, legal, and ethical considerations related to AI adoption.
• Experience managing AI-related licensing, costs, usage monitoring, and policy enforcement.
• Familiarity with developer productivity tools, MCPs, skills repositories, and knowledge-sharing platforms.
• Experience delivering training sessions, workshops, and community engagement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery environments.
