ph3Database Architect /h3 pbDepartment: /bTechnology /p pbEmployment Type: /bFull Time /p pbLocation: /bMarbella /p pbReporting To: /bMark Said /p h3Description /h3 pAs a Database Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative database solutions that support our organization's strategic goals.You will play a key role in defining and driving the database strategy, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security of our data assets./p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 pbDatabase Strategy: /b /p ul liDevelop and articulate a long-term database strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives and technology roadmap./li liEvaluate and recommend database technologies, platforms, and architectures to meet evolving business needs./li liCollaborate with key stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective database solutions./li /ul pbDatabase Design and Architecture: /b /p ul liDesign and implement complex database architectures, including mission-critical OLTP systems and any other models the data platform requires./li liDevelop data models, schemas, and normalization rules to ensure data integrity, consistency, and efficiency./li liOptimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and performance monitoring./li liDesign software automation routines for the Database Engineers to follow and build upon./li /ul pbData Governance: /b /p ul liEstablish and enforce data governance policies and standards to protect data quality and integrity./li liDevelop data classification and retention strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements./li liImplement data security measures to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access./li /ul pbProject Management: /b /p ul liTogether with the Database Engineering Team Manager you will lead and manage database-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals./li liCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of database solutions./li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field./li li8+ years of experience in DBA work, database architecture and design./li liProven track record of leading complex database projects and initiatives./li liDeep understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling, normalization, and performance optimization./li liExperience with cloud-based database platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)./li liExperience with data platforms for both Microsoft (SQL Server) and Open Source technologies (Postgres and MySQL)./li /ul pbDesired Skills: /b /p ul liExperience with the latest Infrastructural technologies for optimal performance./li liExperience with data virtualization and integration technologies./li liExperience with automation scripting and best practices (Ansible, Terraform and Powershell)./li liCertification in relevant database technologies./li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul liGreat career development opportunities /li liHybrid working modelInternational Health Insurance /li liHealth and Wellbeing Package (350 EUR per year) /li liBirthday Day Off /li liMe Time - 1 day off per year /li /ul /p #J-*****-Ljbffr
