Head of Infrastructure Madrid (Hybrid - 2 days a week on site)Permanent€We are partnered with a world class IT Consultancy based in Spain and working with clients on a global scale offering MSP services.They are currently recruiting for a Head of Infrastructure who can come in simplify teams, use multiple technologies to improve efficiencies and help reshape the department quickly.You'll be managing a global Infrastructure department of circa 50 people across a hybrid on-prem first solution.This isn't a role to just move everything into the cloud, You'll come in and quickly gain an understanding of the infrastructure, the team, their ability and the issues.You'll work at senior level managing relationships with the big stakeholders but you'll remain close enough to the operations to absorb what is going on from the Engineers and translate technical details in layman's terms for senior management.The Scope of the role spans Infrastructure, Application Support, Monitoring, Networking and Databases and tech stack that you will be overseeing will include:Microsoft and Windows Operating SystemsDatabases and data platforms including SQL and PostgreSQLVirtualization such as VMWareNetworking core principles aligned to Cisco and Palo AltoAzureAutomation and configuration Management toolsThe successful Head of Infrastructure will have...Proven experience managing large global and complex teamsA track record of improving department performance, upskilling team members and implementing automationExtensive ITIL knowledge and use to working to ITIL v4 standards on a global scale, preferably with v4 Qualifications
