OverviewTradition is the interdealer broking arm of Compagnie Financière Tradition and one of the world's largest interdealer brokers in over-the-counter financial and commodity related products.CFT is represented in over 28 countries, employing over 2,500 people.Tradition's goal is to provide superior client services.It believes its business success is a direct reflection of its employees and recruits.As such, teamwork, creativity, reliability and integrity are components of a work ethic taken very seriously since the company was founded in ****.Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Linux Engineer to be based within the Madrid office, with a remote/hybrid working arrangement.The role will involve running, monitoring and improving the Linux-based platforms underpinning our systems, automating with scripts and tools, supporting hypervisors, storage and networking, working with developers, support teams and business users, contributing to infrastructure projects, and maintaining compliance with operational and regulatory guidelines.ResponsibilitiesRunning, monitoring and improving the Linux-based platforms underpinning our systems.Automating wherever possible - writing scripts, building tools, improving workflows.Supporting hypervisors, storage, and networking alongside the core Linux estate.Working with developers, support teams and business users to solve problems quickly and effectively.Contributing to infrastructure projects, from design to deployment.Following operational and regulatory guidelines to keep systems compliant and secure.QualificationsEssential- A real depth in Linux.Essential- Solid scripting and automation experience (Bash, Python, Ansible, Puppet or similar).Essential- Knowledge of infrastructure as code principles.Essential- Good networking fundamentals (protocols, troubleshooting).Essential- Curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to dig into systems.Essential- Clear communicator, comfortable in a fast-moving environment.Essential- Good level of English.Desirable- Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker or Terraform.Desirable- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana).Desirable- Experience with log aggregation/visualisation (Open Search/Elasticsearch, Splunk, etc.).Desirable- Interest in financial markets and electronic trading platforms.BenefitsHybrid working policy with occasional weekend cover (approx. once a month, mostly on Saturdays).Equal OpportunityTradition welcomes all suitable applications and is an equal opportunity employer who values diversity.All employment is decided on the basis of qualifications and merit.#J-*****-Ljbffr
