Job description

pstrongWe Are /strong /ppSynopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate cutting-edge designs including AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their RD capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow. We are open to candidates based in a number of locations across central Europe and our Nordics region./ppstrongYou Are /strong /ppYou have spent enough time in SoC verification to know that getting a design running on an emulator is rarely as clean as the documentation suggests. You have debugged enough testbenches, traced enough signal issues, and worked through enough synthesis problems to understand what breaks when theory meets hardware./ppYou are technical enough to dig into SystemVerilog code, C++ transactors, and RTL compilation issues without needing constant guidance, but you are also learning how to step back and see the bigger picture of what a customer is trying to accomplish. You are comfortable working through problems methodically, asking for help when you need it, and documenting what you find so the next person does not hit the same wall./ppWorking with customers appeals to you because you like solving real problems, not just theoretical ones. You want to see your work matter beyond a lab environment. When something is not working, you do not just escalate it immediately, you try to isolate the issue first, gather the relevant details, and either fix it or hand it off with enough context that someone else can act on it quickly. At Synopsys, you will work on hardware assisted verification platforms that are enabling some of the most complex chip designs in the industry./ppstrongWhat You'll Be Doing /strong /pulliSupport customer deployments of Synopsys emulation and prototyping platforms, helping them compile RTL, bring up testbenches, and debug issues that arise during SoC-level verification /liliBuild and troubleshoot emulation testbenches, including protocol transactors for Ethernet, PCIe, AMBA, UART, DDR, memory models, C++ code, and automation scripts /liliReproduce customer-reported issues in controlled environments, isolate root causes, and work with senior engineers or RD to drive resolution /liliAssist with technical evaluations of Synopsys hardware assisted verification products on customer designs, demonstrating functionality and performance /liliRespond to customer technical questions and support requests, providing timely troubleshooting and guidance on product usage /liliDocument common issues, workarounds, and best practices to help build internal knowledge base and improve customer onboarding /liliCollaborate with the local applications engineering team and sales to support account engagement and technical discussions /li /ulpstrongThe Impact You Will Have /strong /pulliHelp customers meet their verification and bring-up schedules by resolving technical issues that would otherwise stall their progress /liliImprove customer experience by providing clear, accurate technical support that builds confidence in Synopsys platforms /liliContribute to product quality by identifying patterns in customer issues and feeding that information back to senior engineers and RD /liliReduce time-to-resolution for common deployment problems by creating documentation and reusable solutions that benefit multiple customers /liliSupport the growth of Synopsys presence in EMEA by delivering reliable technical engagement that strengthens customer relationships /liliBuild your own expertise in hardware assisted verification by working on real customer designs across different application domains /li /ulpstrongWhat You'll Need /strong /pulliYou have a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, and 3-5 years of experience in ASIC or SoC design and verification /liliYou are proficient in SystemVerilog and comfortable with C or C++ for testbench development, and you can work in Unix/Linux environments with scripting languages like Python, Tcl, or Perl /liliYou bring solid debugging skills across RTL and software layers, with the ability to isolate issues in multi-component systems /liliYou have good communication skills in English and can explain technical issues clearly to customers and internal team members /liliExperience with hardware emulators or prototyping platforms is a strong plus and will help you ramp up faster /liliKnowledge of SoC protocols such as Ethernet, PCIe, AMBA, UART, or DDR is helpful and will make you more effective in customer engagements /li /ulpstrongWho You Are /strong /pulliYou can take a customer issue description, reproduce it in your own environment, and work through the debug process systematically until you understand what is happening /liliWhen you get stuck on a technical problem, you know how to ask for help in a way that gives the other person enough context to actually assist you /liliYou are comfortable managing your own task list across multiple customer requests, keeping track of what is urgent, what is waiting on someone else, and what you can close out today /liliYou can explain a technical concept to a customer engineer in a way that makes sense without overcomplicating it or skipping important details /liliYou are willing to learn new protocols, tools, and platform features as you encounter them in customer engagements, and you retain what you learn for the next time /liliYou stay calm when a customer is frustrated or a deadline is tight, and you focus on making progress rather than assigning blame /li /ulpstrongThe Team You'll Be Part Of /strong /ppYou will be part of the Application Engineering team supporting Synopsys Hardware Assisted Verification platforms, working closely with customers across our EMEA semiconductor industry. The team collaborates directly with RD on emulation and prototyping technologies and partners with the local sales organization to grow Synopsys presence in key accounts. You will work alongside senior application engineers who will help you build expertise while you contribute to customer deployments and technical support./ppstrongRewards and Benefits /strong /ppWe offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings.Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process./p
