Job description
A client is seeking a SAFe Scrum Master / Team Coach (SM/TC) to work onsite three days per week in Bengaluru, India, with two days remote. This person will be a servant leader, facilitator, and coach for Agile Teams within a SAFe environment, enabling teams and Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to deliver value effectively. As a core member of the Agile Team, the SM will coach teams in SAFe Scrum and SAFe Team Kanban practices, facilitate team events, and promote self-organization, self-management, and continuous improvement. The role will support team readiness and participation in ART events such as PI Planning, System Demos, and Inspect and Adapt workshops, while guiding estimation practices to support accurate planning and delivery. The SM/TC partners closely with Product Owners to strengthen backlog management, prioritization, and iteration execution, and fosters a culture of technical excellence and disciplined delivery. They represent the team in Scrum of Scrums and other cross-team forums, helping to identify dependencies, remove impediments, and address flow bottlenecks. The SM will also coach teams through performance, interpersonal, and organizational challenges to improve effectiveness. Candidates need to be comfortable with $8-12/hr based on experience level.
Requirements
Extensive experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a SAFe environment
Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
Knowledge of Agile Release Train (ART) processes, events, and workflows.
Ability to guide teams in estimation techniques and backlog management.
Expertise in facilitating Scrum ceremonies and Agile practices.
Strong communication skills
SAFe Scrum Master certification or equivalent Agile certifications.
Familiarity with tools like Jira, Rally, or other Agile project management software. Experience coaching non-Agile teams and stakeholders on Agile practices.
