Job description
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain our enterprise-grade cloud environment. You will act as a key architect for our Azure ecosystem, ensuring that our infrastructure is secure, scalable, and cost-efficient. This is a "Platform Engineering" role. You aren't just managing servers; you are building the guardrails and frameworks that allow our development teams to move fast while maintaining high standards for security and reliability. If you treat Infrastructure-as-Code as your primary tool, prioritize "security-by-design," and possess a FinOps mindset, we want you to help us evolve our platform., Cloud Architecture & Automation Platform Design: Architect and deploy secure Azure cloud environments (networking, compute, storage, and identity) that support complex enterprise applications. Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Drive an "automation-first" culture. Use Terraform, Bicep, or ARM to make infrastructure provisioning repeatable, auditable, and developer-friendly. DevOps Pipeline: Build and maintain high-performance CI/CD pipelines. Ensure that every deployment is tested, validated, and capable of automated rollback.
Security & Operational Excellence Security Architecture: Implement "defense-in-depth" strategies. Manage identity (IAM), secrets, and encryption while integrating CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management) tooling to proactively remediate misconfigurations and drift. FinOps & Cost Optimization: Proactively identify cloud waste. Right-size resources and lead efforts to align infrastructure usage with business value, ensuring our cloud spend remains optimized as we scale. Operational Reliability: Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues with urgency. Lead post-incident analyses to drive preventive improvements and increase platform availability.
Strategic Partnership Platform Standards: Establish the reference architectures and self-service guardrails that allow development teams to consume cloud infrastructure consistently. Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex technical cloud concepts for business stakeholders and provide platform guidance to internal engineering teams.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience Baseline: 3+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience in a production enterprise Azure environment. IaC Proficiency: Demonstrated mastery of IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep) and version control (Git). Technical Breadth: Strong background in cloud networking, containerization (Kubernetes/AKS), and security principles. Automation: Proficiency in scripting (Python or Bash) to reduce manual operational overhead.
Preferred Attributes Certifications: Active Microsoft Azure Certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps, or Administrator). Observability: Experience with monitoring platforms (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor). Security-Minded: Experience designing IAM policies and network security groups that satisfy rigorous audit and compliance frameworks.
