Job description

The Lead AWS Cloud IAM Engineer will lead, plan, design and engineer enterprise-level identity and access management (IAM) capabilities related to Cloud Application Security. This role will be responsible for the definition and deployment of IAM capabilities and processes with a focus on AWS cloud-based architecture. The role requires a grasp of application security principles, security best practices, cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and a background delivering IAM solutions within a large enterprise setting.

Responsibilities

The Lead AWS Cloud IAM Engineer will consult and recommend solutions on matters relating to IAM capabilities with a specific focus on cloud-based workloads. This role is focused on designing and delivering IAM automation and services necessary to support the secure development, deployment and operationalization of capabilities within Humana's multi-cloud environment.

Build a close working relationship with Humana stakeholders including security operations, cloud platform management, and solutions engineering

Participate in the design of IT and Cloud security strategies, system security controls and secure IAM platform configurations.

Lead administration of cloud-native identity and access management services in AWS

Manage service accounts for cloud workloads, such as those deployed through automated pipelines

Champion process transformation to deliver industry-leading security experiences

Partner on enterprise-wide initiatives such as IT Service Management integrations to transform operational processes

Support operations of AWS cloud-native IAM capabilities

Institutionalize and operate AWS specific role entitlement transformation

Optimize and maintain AWS cloud IAM access management processes

Build a very close working relationship with cloud architecture, cloud engineering, application development teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Security or equivalent experience

8 years of technical cyber security experience

2 years of project leadership experience

Experience implementing and supporting IAM tools and processes

Experience working in a multi-cloud environment

Advanced experience leading special projects and producing metrics, measurements and trend reports

Strong ability to assess urgency and prioritization and make good decisions based upon situational circumstances

Ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels of the organization

Analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

Professional level cloud engineering certifications

Hands on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Formation etc.)

Experience with containers (Kubernetes, Docker etc.)

Hands on experience operating, monitoring and troubleshooting IAM services in medium to large cloud environments

Additional Information

Experience in cloud migrations and cloud service management is preferred.
