As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be a member of an Integrated Program Team (IPT) developing architecture, refining requirements, guiding system development and integration, supporting test development, and working closely with our customers and suppliers to ensure we deliver world class solutions.
This position requires: US Government Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance Day 1.
Onsite: This is an onsite role supporting our Largo, FL location.

What YOU will do:

Lead the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to Validation while collaborating with the customer

Define lab activities including setup, configuration management, and testing

Define Modeling, Hardware, and Software Interfaces

Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals

Manage the preparation and/or execution of Design Reviews as well as Integration, Dry Run, and Formal Qualification Testing

Work with little oversight to solve difficult and complex problems

Analyze system behaviors, supporting system trade studies, requirements analysis, allocation to subsystems
Requirements
-
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

Active and transferable U.S. Government DoD Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date

The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI caveat

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
-
Extensive experience with DevOps pipelines operating in both Linux and Windows environments

Practical experience with Ansible/YAML
-
Experience with writing and maintaining scripting

Experience working on or with networked environments

Ability to travel up to 25% per year and flexibility to travel on short notice
Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience with Survivable Mobile Command Center architectures and operations

Experience working on fielded systems

Experience with systems support to software and hardware development

Experience with Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3)

Experience with computer networking for ground-based, ship, submarine, or airborne platforms

An active Top Secret clearance with SCI caveat

Tuition reimbursement program, The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
